SENSE Survey
This fall, Austin Community College will be participating in a field test of the Survey of Entering Student Engagement
(
SENSE). The
SENSE focuses on institutional practices and student behaviors in the earliest weeks of
college and will be administered within the fourth and fifth weeks of the fall academic term. The project is part
of
CCSSE and the Community College Leadership Program at The University of Texas at Austin.
The survey will be administered in classes randomly selected by
SENSE to ensure a representative sample and to
preserve the integrity of the survey results. Instructors whose classes are selected for survey administration
will receive specific information from the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Accountability.
You may learn more about
SENSE from the project Web site at
http://www.enteringstudent.org. If you have any questions about the administration of
SENSE this fall,
please contact the ACC
SENSE coordinator, Dr. Richard Griffiths, at 223-7606 or
rgriffit@austincc.edu.
