PHYS 1405/1407: Conceptual Physics I/II

PHYS 1405

Conceptual survey of topics in physics, including the fundamentals of motion, forces, energy and momentum. Intended for liberal arts and other non-science majors, but science majors with weak physics background may wish to use this as an introduction to physics principles.

Course Fee: $50.00

Prerequisites:

  • Two years of high school algebra or equivalent

OR

  • A grade of C or better in MATD 0370.
  • One year of high school science recommended, but not required.

 

PHYS 1407:

Conceptual survey of topics in physics, including the fundamentals of optics, electricity, magnetism and modern physics. Intended for liberal arts and other non-science majors, but science majors with weak physics background may wish to use this as an introduction to physics principles.

Course Fee: $50.00

  • Grade of C or better in PHYS 1405.
