Ad-aware Status Screen

The main screen of Ad-aware shows the status screen. Here you can run system checks, see the status of your application (whether or not you need updates), see your usage statistics, change preferences, and more.

If you open Ad-aware and look at the main screen, you will see the following:

• Initialization-status: Shows the version number of the loaded reference file. Click the Details link to show the reference file details.  
  

• Usage-statistics: A summary of your Ad-aware usage statistics. The following details are available:

  • Last System scan: Date the last system scan was performed.  
    
  • Total objects removed: Total number of items deleted.  
    
  • Total Ad-aware scans: Total number of system scans.  
    
  • Objects in ignore list: Total number of items in the ignore list.  
    
  • View ignore list: Click to view all items in the ignore list.  
    
  • Objects in quarantine: Total number of objects in quarantine.
    
  • View quarantined objects: Click to view all items which have been deleted.
    

• Ad-watch status: Shows whether or not Ad-watch is loaded.

Under Usage Statistics, you will find a Status Box. One of three options will be displayed:

• Status ok - Ad-aware initialized - Ad-aware launched and the reference file was loaded ok. 

• Warning! Reference file not found or corrupted! - The reference could not be loaded.  

• Warning! Your Reference file is outdated! - A newer reference file is available then currently installed. Click the Check for updates now link.
