Health and kinesiology involve studying human movement, designing strength training programs, creating health behavior change strategies, learning about the prevention and treatment of athletic injuries, teaching physical education classes, understanding health promotion and disease prevention, teaching group fitness classes, and more.

Austin Community College’s Health and Kinesiology Program prepares you to pursue a career in fitness instruction, rehabilitation, coaching, or sports management. You also may transfer your ACC degree to a bachelor’s degree program at a four-year institution.
