    • Career Services provides job search assistance, interview preparation, online career readiness resources, resume & cover letter preparation, and one-on-one appointments.

      Career Services is here to support students whose employment has been impacted by the current economic disruptions. We will monitor the regional job market and post daily updates for new employment opportunities.

    • ACC will begin to reissue I-20s for initial F-1 students for the Spring 2022 semester. The deadline to apply is October 1.   Please visit austincc.edu/international or the International FAQs below for the latest updates. International students should contact the International Student Office if you are considering traveling outside or have questions on returning to the United States.

    • Faculty librarians are available 24/7 to assist you online. Visit the Library Information and Services During COVID-19 website for online resources such as e-books, research guides, interactive tutorials, and 24/7 Expert Librarian chat.

      • 24/7 Live Chat with a Librarian is available for help with assignments, research, citations, and other library resources. 
      • Email library@austincc.edu with questions, or complete the request form found on the GET HELP section of the library's website.
      • Zoom a Librarian by appointment or drop-in is available through Blackboard - click on Library Services in the top right corner.

      Access Online Resouces:

      • Over 50,000 ebooks are available for ACC students, faculty, and staff.
      • A-Z Databases will kick off your research with journal articles, information, and streaming videos.
      • Online tutorials developed by our Expert Faculty Librarians cover important topics for research success.
      • Online citation guides created by our Expert Faculty Librarians will help you cite your sources using the correct format.
      • Research guides are created by our Expert Faculty Librarians to connect you to information and resources for every subject.

  • Registration Services
    • ACC Registration Stations are available to assist and provide one-on-one support with the online registration and tuition payment systems for returning students once you have met with an academic advisor and your courses planned.

      New ACC students will receive course planning and registration support by attending orientation. Once you have completed your application, be on the lookout for your orientation invitation and sign up for a session that fits your schedule. If you can’t find your invitation or have other questions, email orientation@austincc.edu or call 512-223-4636 (Press Option 1).

  • Supplemental Instruction
    • Supplemental Instruction (SI) supports online and in-person classes.  Students will meet regularly in SI study sessions held outside of class either in-person if the class is in-person, or online through Google Meet, if the class is online.

  • Testing Center
    • Testing Center personnel are here to support you with your testing needs.

      College Readiness Assessments

      • All first-time college students must take The Texas Success Initiative (TSI) is a state-required assessment test to determine college-readiness in reading, writing, and math OR the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) assessment which includes a written exam, computer test and oral interview to measure your English reading, writing, listening, and speaking levels. 
      • ACC has reopened on-campus testing for the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) at ACC Highland, Riverside, and RoundRock campuses by appointment.
      • To request an appointment, complete the “TSI Test Request” form. The college’s Testing Center will email you within 48 business hours (Monday through Friday), to set up your test date and time. Remote testing also remains available. For more information click here

    • Interested in transferring to a four-year college or university? Get one-on-one assistance from ACC Career & Transfer Specialists. We can assist virtually or in person with transfer applications, essay and resume review and help you explore transfer destinations.

    • ACC Learning Labs are here to help with your academic success. . All Learning Lab Tutors are now online. ACC tutors are dedicated professionals whose goal is to help you become a confident student.

  • Financial Aid
    • Most students and families are eligible for some type of financial aid – from grants, scholarships, loans, or work-study. The Financial Aid Office is available to help you explore options for funding your college education.

  • Scholarships
    • Austin Community College makes it easy to find a scholarship that fits. Just submit a single application and short personal statement. ACC’s in-house experts will see if they can match you to a scholarship.

  • Student Emergency Fund
    • ACC'S Student Emergency Fund will help you stay on track to reach your academic and career goals should you experience unexpected expenses or a reduction or loss of income.

  • Student Money Management Office
  • Veterans
    • Visit Veterans Services for information about Veterans programs and services. Contact a Veterans Affairs specialist for guidance on your classes. Send any forms and questions to veterans@austincc.edu.

  • Work-Study
    • The College Work-Study Program provides eligible ACC students with the opportunity to work part-time in a community service position or a field related to their area of study. Work-study employees work up to 19 hours per week, receive a bi-weekly paycheck, and are paid $15.00 to $15.50 per hour depending on their position.

Personal Support

  • Campus Assessment Response Evaluation and Support (CARES)
    • The CARES program is dedicated to the prevention, early intervention, and response to students’ concerning, disruptive, and threatening behaviors. If a person poses an active or immediate risk of violence to self or others, ACC Police should be contacted at 512-223-7999 or call 911.

      Seek consultation from a CARES team member via the online referral form.

      For Service Hours: CARES referrals will only be reviewed during normal business hours, Monday- Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30.p.m., and may not be immediately reviewed.

  • Mental Health Counseling
    • In order to best meet the needs of our students ACC District Clinical Counseling Services is providing virtual tele-mental health services counseling for enrolled ACC students. Visit austincc.edu/counseling for more information.

  • Student Advocacy Center: Support for Childcare Scholarships, Food/Housing Assistance, Health Care, Clothing, Transportation, Student Emergency Fund & more
    • The Student Advocacy Center (formerly the Support Center) provides specialized assistance and referrals to help you overcome personal and family challenges to completing your education. Advocates can assist you in connecting to community resources that provide food, housing, health care and other assistance. As an ACC student, you are eligible for free passes to Capital Metro’s busses and trains. Register for your free public transit "green pass" each semester here. For help with transportation outside of Capital Metro’s service area, contact an Advocate.

      Food Access and Benefits Help
      You can receive groceries at no cost through ACC's partnerships with Central Texas Food Bank's mobile pantry and other community partners.

      Housing and Utility Assistance
      For general help with housing and utilities, contacting ACC's Student Advocacy Center at scprogram@austincc.edu. For one-time emergency assistance to cover one-time unexpected expenses, check out the Student Emergency Fund.

    • If you do not have access to technology at home please fill out the Student Technology Request Form as an initial step.

      • Once completed, a member of our team will follow up with you.
      • Enrolled students are able to check out a number of technologies for use through the semester, including iPads, webcams, etc.

  • Help Desk
    • The Student Affairs Help Desk can assist with questions you have about becoming an ACC student, applying, transcripts, financial aid, ACCmail, ACCeID, Financial Aid, general advising, cashiers, and more.

  • Internet Connection & Wireless Assistance
    • ACC provides free, secure, drive-up WiFi to students and employees at all campus locations. WiFi may be accessed from parking lots 7 days a week from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

      Emergency Broadband Benefit Program
      The Emergency Broadband Benefit is an FCC program to help families and households struggling to afford internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic.
