Austin Community College's top priority is providing a safe and secure environment in which to learn and work. The Emergency Management function, a part of the college's Safety and Environmental Management Department, is charged with planning for unexpected incidents to maximize safety and minimize risk.
Planning is based on the four interconnected phases of emergency management: prevention/mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery.
