High school students can start earning college credit before graduating from high school. Austin Community College enrolls eligible high school students through the Dual Credit program. Courses may be taken at any ACC campus, ACC center, online, or at your high school campus if available.
ACC's Dual Credit program will be open to all eligible high school students who demonstrate college readiness in the areas required for their ACC class(es) they wish to enroll.
The dual credit tuition and fees waiver can only be used on classes that are a part of the ACC core curriculum, workforce course, foreign languages, and KINE 1304/1305. Courses do not meet one of these categories, will be assessed regular tuition and fees based on student residency.
Dual credit students will not be limited to two courses per semester, however, we strongly advise students to discuss enrolling in more than two classes with an ACC academic advisor prior to registration. Dual credit students will be eligible for 12 course tuition and fees waiver, after which, regular tuition and fees will be assessed.
