ACCelerator: An Innovative Way to Teach

600+ computer stations for individualized learning

Highland Campus is home to the ACCelerator, a high-tech learning lab that is changing the way ACC students learn. The ACCelerator provides access to 600+ computer stations for individualized learning and small group sessions. 

In addition to technology-based instruction, the ACCelerator features an extensive support network of faculty members, counselors, advisors, tutors, librarians, and other staff members—all ready to help students succeed. The lab is spread over 32,000 square feet, with clusters of desktop computer stations surrounded by classrooms and study rooms.

The ACCelerator offers an innovative developmental math course, Developmental Mathematics (MATD 0421)—which will allow students to reach college-level math at their own pace.

Other programs and services offered at the ACCelerator include:

  • Tutoring in a variety of subjects (math tutors available during all open hours)
  • First year experience
  • Group advising
  • Adult Education
  • Continuing Education
  • College readiness assessment preparation
  • Student skills workshops
