Baccalaureate prep students take 42 general education credit hours, which are transferable to any higher education institution in Texas, in addition to eight courses in the hospitality management major area. Students will also study topics pertaining to sanitation and safety, front office procedures, travel industry management, purchasing, financial management, meeting and event planning, marketing, sales, and legal issues in hospitality.

How long will it take to get a degree or certificate?

Associate degree students typically require at least two and a half years to complete their studies. Students in the certificate program usually require at least one and a half years of study. How quickly you complete your course of study depends on how many courses are taken each semester. Hospitality Management courses are scheduled to meet once per week for two hours and 40 minutes. The program also offers distance learning and hybrid courses.

Where can I work with this education?
