Operations and Public Affairs

Welcome to Operations and Public Affairs

As Executive Vice Chancellor of Operations and Public Affairs, I would like to welcome you to our website!

Here at ACC, our business is reaching out into the community and beyond. As a political subdivision of the State of Texas and as an entity that touches six counties, more than eight cities and about two dozen school districts, ACC must work collaboratively across many borders in order to successfully serve our diverse student population. This means developing strategies and activities to ensure support from our government partners on a range of issues important to the college and its students.

In addition to maintaining strong relationships with federal, state and local governments, we are also responsible for maintaining ACC’s standing with the Austin-area business community (the employers who hire our graduates), our alumni, the region’s network of 6,000 non-profit organizations, and the college's growing list of global partners.

Operations and Public Affairs also includes the Safety and Operations Division, which oversees ACC’s efforts to ensure the safety of students, faculty, and staff; management of ACC’s campuses; and maintaining a high level of quality throughout all of ACC’s existing facilities.

We look forward to having a conversation with you about ACC and our mission of equitably providing access to quality education for Austin-area residents and a world-class workforce for local employers.

Best,

Dr. Molly Beth Malcolm
