Per immigration regulations, all F-1 students must report when they are completing their program, as their I-20 must be updated accordingly. Additionally, if the student is in the final semester and needs less than 12 credit hours to graduate, the student may be permitted to be enrolled in less than 12 credit hours for the final semester due to graduation. This information must be reported to SEVIS (Student Exchange Visitor Information System). ACC F-1 visa students that plan to graduate, must submit the F-1 Student Graduation Eligibility form.
Submit the following documents to the International Student Office to report your graduation status, before classes begin in the last semester you need to graduate:
F-1 Student Graduation Eligibility documents may be submitted to the International Student Office (ISO) to firstname.lastname@example.org. However, the ISO may request them to be submitted in person.
Documents must be clean, clear, and legible. Requests are reviewed by the ISO and the student is notified via email upon completion. Allow five (5) business days for processing of updated I-20.
