Your ACC journey begins here.
We’re thrilled that you’ve chosen to take the next step in your educational journey by enrolling at Austin Community College. To make the process as simple as possible, the admission process is divided into four basic steps, below. Different steps may apply, so be sure to check our Types of Student guide to see which path is right for you.
If you require disability services in completing these steps, please contact Student Accessibility Services.
1. First Step
The First Step online orientation prepares you for the application process and gives essential information about attending ACC.
Reminder! Submit the FAFSA to be considered for financial aid. This is optional but highly recommended.
Begin the application process by submitting the online application form for credit students, below.Begin Application
Submit required documents:
You also must submit these additional documents before your application is considered complete:
- Residency form.
- Official transcripts from your previous schools.
- College readiness scores or proof of Texas Success Initiative exemption.
- Meningitis immunization proof or waiver if you are under age 22.
Activate your ACC accounts:
Once you have submitted all your supplemental documents you will receive an email with your ACCeID. Use this to then activate your ACCeID, ACCmail, and Online Services accounts. Allow 24 hours for your application to be processed.
3. Information Session
Once your application is complete, take these steps for advising.
Check your application status:
Make sure we've received your documents by calling, emailing, or visiting the College Destination Center. Contact 512-223-7747 for more information. Your application must be complete before taking the advising and registration steps.
Attend an Area of Study Information Session:
Less than 12 credits? If you are a new student with fewer than 12 college credits, you are required to attend an Area of Study Information Session.
12 or more credits? If you have 12 or more completed college credits, you have the option to attend an Area of Study Information Session, or you may meet with an advisor in your area of study to review transcripts and TSI status. Plan your classes by viewing the area of study program information.
Plan, register, and pay:
Your final application step is to plan your classes for the upcoming semester, then register and pay online by the posted deadlines. See registration information.
