Austin Community College is one of several community colleges in Texas to offer Bachelor of Applied Science degrees. Historically, community colleges have offered only two-year associate degrees and certificates. However, a bachelor’s degree is the minimum credential to obtain employment in a growing number of local fields. In response, the Texas Legislature has approved a select few community colleges, including ACC, to offer bachelor’s programs in fields experiencing worker shortages.
Bachelor degrees at Austin Community College advance your education, certifications, and experience in specific career-focused areas. Most comprise of an additional two years of coursework, building on a currently offered associate degree program to equal a four-year degree. Our bachelor’s degree programs are designed for students and working professionals who already have these two–year degrees or have earned comparable degrees at other institutions.
