Whether you are looking to begin your college education or have decided to return to school to complete your degree, Austin Community College’s bachelor’s degree programs provide advanced instruction and training in career-focused areas.
More bachelor’s degrees are on the way! As the need for high-level education continues to grow, ACC will continue to add excellent, accredited 4-year programs for in-demand careers.
Austin Community College is one of several community colleges in Texas to offer Bachelor of Applied Science degrees. Historically, community colleges have offered only two-year associate degrees and certificates. However, a bachelor’s degree is the minimum credential to obtain employment in a growing number of local fields. In response, the Texas Legislature has approved a select few community colleges, including ACC, to offer bachelor’s programs in fields experiencing worker shortages.
Our bachelor’s degrees are structured in what’s called a “2 + 2” format. They comprise of an additional two years of coursework, building on a currently offered associate degree program to equal a four-year degree. Our bachelor’s degree programs are designed for students who already have these two–year degrees or have earned comparable degrees at other institutions.
