High-Demand Bachelor’s Degrees Added to Select Community Colleges

Austin Community College is one of several community colleges in Texas to offer Bachelor of Applied Science degrees. Historically, community colleges have offered only two-year associate degrees and certificates. However, a bachelor’s degree is the minimum credential to obtain employment in a growing number of local fields. In response, the Texas Legislature has approved a select few community colleges, including ACC, to offer bachelor’s programs in fields experiencing worker shortages.

Upgrade From Associate Degree to a Bachelor’s Degree at ACC

Bachelor degrees at Austin Community College advance your education, certifications, and experience in specific career-focused areas. Most consist of an additional two years of coursework, building on a currently offered associate degree program to equal a four-year degree. Our bachelor’s degree programs are designed for students and working professionals who already have these two–year degrees or have earned comparable degrees at other institutions.
