If you’re a current or returning ACC student, skip the admissions and applications steps, and go straight to registration.

New Student Steps to Enroll

Getting started is easy at Austin Community College. We have an open admissions policy, and there are no application fee (except for international applicants). It takes just a few simple steps to enroll. Once you complete these steps, you're eligible to take credit classes at any of our 11 campuses or online. Don't wait! Applications are accepted year-round. Applying early ensures you'll be ready when it’s time to register for classes.

Step 1: Prepare

  • Choose Your Program
    • Have a program in mind? If so, great! If not, explore your interests on ACC’s Areas of Study or take a Career Quiz to see what programs are a fit for you.

  • Attend a Virtual Information Session
    • Areas of Study - Schedule an information session focusing on ACC’s Areas of Study, core curriculum and workforce options, associate and bachelor degrees, as well as transfer opportunities. Schedule Session »

  • Talk to a Recruiter
    • Schedule a 1-on-1 chat with an ACC representative who can answer specific questions and help you get started applying. Pick a time that works for you!

  • Start Your Application
  • Submit Required Documents
    • Submit any required documents such as college/university transcripts, SAT, ACT, and/or TSI scores. For assistance with submitting your documentation, please contact Admissions and Enrollment Office

  • Apply for Financial Aid
    • Most students and families are eligible for some type of financial aid – from grants, scholarships, loans, or work-study. Learn about how you can access the funds you need to achieve a college education on our Paying for College webpage.

  • Retrieve your ACCeID and ACCmail email account
    • You’ll need your ACCeID to do most tasks at ACC including logging into MyACC, Blackboard, and other online resources. Retrieve your ACCeID.

      ACCmail is the official form of communication at ACC. Your ACCmail account allows you to conduct official ACC business and receive important information about your ACC accounts and classes. ACCmail Activation & Login Assistance.
