4 Steps & You’re In
Austin Community College makes college more accessible with an open admissions policy and a simple enrollment process. There’s no fee to apply, and applications are accepted year-round. Once you complete these four steps, you’re eligible to take credit classes at any of our 11 campuses or online.
Register for Classes

Plan your classes in Self-Service.

Register for the classes you selected.
You’ll register for your planned classes any time after the new student registration date.

Pay your tuition and fees by the deadline.
It’s essential that you pay all outstanding charges before the tuition deadline, or you’ll be dropped from the classes you registered for.

After you Register
These last few tasks will get you ready for a great start for your first semester!
ACC Student ID card
Obtain your free ACC Student ID card in person at any campus Admissions & Records Office at least one business day after registering for classes. Bring an official photo ID for identification. Learn more
Parking & Transportation
Purchase a vehicle parking permit or Capital Metro pass to help you get to campus. Learn more
Textbooks & Supplies
You can get your textbooks and supplies from any seller. Required purchases are listed on the course syllabus and may appear in Online Services. Learn more
Don't forget to check Self-Service or ACCmail if you have applied for financial aid.

We offer several noncredit learning and training options. These programs include Continuing Education, Adult Education, and English as a Second Language.
Continuing Education
Take noncredit classes to learn a new job, upgrade a skill, advance your career, or improve your English.
Adult Education
Prepare for high school equivalency or learn English as a Second Language.
Learn English at ACC
Improve your English skills in small classes taught by caring faculty.

The admissions process can be slightly different for some students. Our highest priority is to welcome each student and put them on a pathway as seamlessly as possible.
High School Dual Credit
Earn college credit and even complete an associate degree before high school graduation.
