Located near the heart of Austin, ACC's Rio Grande Campus is more than 100 years old. It served as a middle and high school for the Austin school district for decades and was converted into a college in 1975. The main building has since undergone massive renovations to retain its historical exterior and facade and create a state-of-the-art learning environment inside. The campus includes two enclosed courtyards, advanced classrooms and science labs, and a new ACCelerator— an interactive learning hub that has been extremely successful at our Highland Campus.
Rio Grande houses the Army Future's Command Software Factory and the popular PACE co-enrollment program where students take classes at ACC and the nearby University of Texas-Austin with the goal of earning a bachelor's degree. It is also home to the college's American Sign Language Interpreter and Human Services programs, along with general education courses intended for associate degrees, and university transfer. Rio Grande students have access to lots of services such as academic advising, career counseling, and free tutoring services.

Co-enrollment with UT-Austin provides a supportive learning environment with small class sizes to complete core curriculum and general education requirements at ACC before transitioning to the university.
