New COVID-19 Reporting Guidelines for Students, Faculty & Staff

The college updated its reporting guidelines for COVID-19. The "COVID Instructions for ACC Students, Faculty, and Staff" flowchart is available here. Anyone who tests positive for COVID-19; is exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19, or was exposed to anyone who tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days must complete ACC’s COVID-19 self-report form. The college will contact you to share further instructions about the best next steps for you. Click here to access the form

Spring 2022 Updates

Updated Health Screenings

Beginning Monday, January 10, ACC will reinstitute health screenings at the door using the Appian Health Screening App. Each building will have at least one entrance staffed with screening personnel. Health screenings are required for all who come to campus. You can learn more and download the Appian App online.

Face Masks

The ACC Board of Trustees-mandated face mask requirements remain in effect for all individuals entering an ACC facility. Anyone who is 2 years of age or older will be required to wear a face mask in all ACC buildings.

Temporary Instruction Changes

To reduce the number of people on campus, some courses originally scheduled in person will be held online for the first two weeks of the semester, from January 18 through January 30. Students whose classes will transition to a two-week virtual environment will be notified by their faculty member. Students will need to stay up to date on their classes by checking their ACCmail and Blackboard or reaching out directly to their professor.

Student Support

Student Support offices will remain open and provide both virtual and in-person services. Students in virtual classes can access computers from the ACCelerators, campus libraries, and open computer labs.

On-Campus Covid-19 testing currently unavailable

ACC continues to work with our regional health partners to provide COVID-19 testing on campus. At this time, supplies are limited and schedules for spring 2022 remain under development. Please check back here regularly for updates and testing opportunities. Below are additional testing resources and links.

Testing Resources:

Administrative Leave for COVID Booster Vaccine

Administrative leave is still available to ACC employees who are getting the COVID-19 vaccine. This includes leave time for each required shot as well as the booster. Employees must notify their supervisor of their leave prior to their appointment. Supervisors can access the leave request in Workday and select and approve administrative leave in the drop-down box.

Contact Tracing Measures

Austin Community College continues COVID-19 contact tracing for on-campus COVID-19 incidents. Based on self-reporting, the college will contact students and employees to obtain more information and provide further instructions. ACC relies upon contact tracing for on-campus COVID-19 incidents to determine exposures and identify quarantine requirements. If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or believe you may have been exposed to COVID-19, please submit the college's COVID-19 self-report form

How to Submit ACC's COVID-19 Self-Report Form

If you have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days; are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19; or been exposed to anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days; stay home, contact your primary care provider, and complete ACC’s COVID-19 self-report form. Upon receipt of the self-reporting form, the college will contact you to share further instructions about the best next steps for you. Face Masks Required in all ACC Buildings

On Friday, August 13, 2021, the ACC Board of Trustees unanimously approved a face mask mandate at ACC. Effective August 20, 2021, anyone who is 2 years of age or older will be required to wear a face mask in all ACC buildings

Health Screening Required

All who come to an ACC campus or center are required to self-screen through the college's health app before coming to campus. Download the app here. If you’re exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 or have tested positive, the app will provide you information about steps you can take to report your illness.
