This is the Austin Community College Health and Kinesiology Gymnasium and Exercise Guide.

Use this program if you have questions about how to begin to use some of the various exercise machines and techniques in this gym.
You may select any of the sections using the navigation bar at left.

The Main Sections of this Guide are:

Getting Started

This section has pages devoted to information on safety & etiquette rules in the gym, how to design your exercise program so that your goals for sports or personal fitness are met, and tips for successfully maintaining your routine to ensure your continued healthy lifestyle from here on out.

Warmup / Cardio (Aerobic) and
Strength (Anaerobic) Exercises

These areas describe, in detail, proper exercise techniques, first using warmup, or aerobic, exercise equipment to promote cardiovascular health. Exercise machines which promote muscular strength using anaerobic activity are described in the next section.

Focusing On Muscle Groups

This section allows to examine which muscle groups are exercised by which specific exercise machine.
